The sad reality is that more than 20% of drivers don’t have insurance.  And more than 50% of drivers carry very low Liability Coverage on their auto policy.

So what happens when they slam into your car?

Well, if you have the proper insurance coverage, your good decisions will protect you from their bad ones.  Your Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage will kick in and protect you.

Here are the three coverage options you should have:

    • Uninsured Motorist Coverage

      – Covers the cost of your injuries if someone hits you but doesn’t have insurance.

    • Underinsured Motorist Coverage

      – Covers if someone hits you and the costs from your injuries are higher than the coverage on their policy.

    • Un/Underinsured Motorist Property Damage

      – Covers damage done to your car or your property by an Un or Underinsured Driver.

So it’s time to take action.

Go check out your auto insurance policy right now.  Do you have these three important coverage options?  What are the limits for each coverage?

If you’re not sure if your coverage is very good, check out our Auto Insurance Litmus Test for some answers.
